Round Robin Photo Challenge- Birds

If you like photography and you like birds, you need to check out the other entries for the Round Robin Photo Challenge. This week's theme was birds.

I have lots of hummingbirds at my house all summer long. Last week as I was photographing some of them using a high speed flash to "freeze" their wings (bottom photo), this young female sat and watched me for about 10 minutes. I just had to capture her craning neck and inquisitive stare. She made me laugh!

Hi Maragret

Welcome to the Round Robin Challenges! Great photo! That bird looks so curious. It's fun when they kind of take part in the photo. I swear I can almost hear him saying, "Hey lady... what are you doing?" :) Neat photo!

As I said, WELCOME to the challenges, I hope to see you again for future challenges!

Always, Carly

Like the shot! I love those little hummingbirds...there is a nature trail in our county, and every September hundreds of hummingbirds make a stop there. Very neat to see.
My name is Margaret, too. Since you are a fact woman, then I'm sure you know that we are pearls.

Thanks for sharing these Superior Snaps! We have a hummingbird feeder, and I change the nectar often, but haven't seen many this summer. Any hummer-attracting tricks you'd like to share?

Wow those are some impressive photos. I wouldn't even know how to tell that a) it was young or b) it was female. I'll take your word for it though! Great shots!

Welcome to the group! Sorry I'm a bit late getting around to everyone.

Your hummer shots are beautiful! I'm impressed you were able to "stop" the wings. Even on Sports mode, my camera can't do it.
