Random Tuesdays

randomtuesday

I got a new printer yesterday, brought it home and tried to install the software and get it up and running on my home network.  You have to know that every time I do anything involving a PC computer, it doesn't ever work and a I end up making a phone call to by dear husband who just wants to strangle me over the phone. It always ends in tears of anger and frustration because it doesn't work.  This was what happened last night. After I got off of the phone, I just gave up and watched the new Jay Leno Show. This morning I got up and after one hour of resetting IP addresses I not only got the printer running on my desktop but on 2 laptops, did a defrag on my daughters computer, updates software on my desktop and got my iTunes to work for the first time in 2 months. It was a great day.

WTH is Kanye's problem other than the 5th of booze he was drinking on the red carpet. Obviously there was an alcohol induced self editing malfunction.  He did seem contrite on Jay Leno but seriously, what an idiot!!!

What is it with teens that they can't remember the simplest things. I told a choir class to make sure to bring their concert shoes to class today so that I could pin the hems on their new dresses. ONE girl remembered the other 15 forgot. I now have to go back on Wednesday, which was not in my plans. LISTEN PEOPLE!!!

Tonight was the National Honor Society induction ceremony. My daughter became a member and much to my surprise also sang a song for it. Why is it that my kids never tell us that they're going to be performing? I can't tell you how many times we've gotten to a school event and opened the program to see that one of them had a solo or were performing and we had no warning at all.     Yes, all 5 have amazing voices. We we don't have athletes we breed great vocal cords.

Gotta love a musical family. My family was athletic and I was deemed the weird one...

I hope my kid is musical. Somehow I think he'll go the other way though.
