It's Random Tuesday!!!!

Yay, it's time for Random Tuesday!!!!!!
Want to play along? Head on over to the Unmom and find out how.

randomtuesday

Why is it that some check writers seem so surprised when the checker tells them the amount at the store? They dig for their checkbook, dig for their pen and then have to ask what was the amount, what's the date, who do I make it out to. SERIOUSLY PEOPLE, it shouldn't be a huge surprise that you're going to have to pay and if you're using a check, be prepared!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's just NOT that tough!

At my daughter's birthday party 2 weekends ago we had 2 groups of crashers. Did they not think that they'd be noticed? My daughter walked up to one group as they came into the house and asked if they knew- Jane Doe (she said her name), when they told her no, she said, "I am and I don't know you so you'll have to please leave.  The other group of 4 came in and one of them came right up to thank me for having them to party. He then asked how old the birthday girl was, when I said 18 he said, "Oh a baby!" I asked him how old he was (20) and then asked him if he even knew my daughter, he said no but they'd heard there was great music and a fun party. I asked them to leave. Why would they want to be at a party with no booze and a bunch of 17 and 18 year olds? Idiots!

My oldest daughter, 26, got engaged this weekend!!!! Her fiance is a great guy. He's everything that we have been praying for her, for the last 27 years; strong Christian, nice guy, hard worker, smart, well educated.  I'm so excited for them. Wedding planning will start soon since they want to get married in April or May.

Homecoming was also this past weekend. I guess that the DJ at the dance was so bad that all the kids sat down at one point and refused to dance. It was a terrible event. At least my daughter's group had fun at Chipotle where they went for dinner!

It's been so cold here the past week. More like winter than fall. Snow and really cold. I have my appointment for the sprinkler guy to come blow out the system but too late, the valve blew off Sunday. I went to make a cup of hot tea and there was no water so I went around the inside of the house then the outside to see if there was a burst pipe. Thankfully, it was the safety valve outside that blew off when it thawed, it did it's job! It had run the pressure tank empty but the well filled it up in no time.

I am trying to get the last 4 dresses marked for hemming for one of the choirs at school and three girls just keep forgetting their shoes. I am about to break someones leg if they forget one more time. I've only been going up for the last 4 weeks at least 3 times a week. Done!

Those check people bother me too!
When I worked at Walmart, people would come in and ask me who they make the check out to...Seriously??

Party crashers irritate me.
I'd feel stupid if I went to a party where I wasn't invited to only be kicked out LMAO.

Congrats to your older daughter!!! Engagements are so much fun and exciting!

Hee Hee. I'm laughing WITH you, I think. The sprinkler guy came to my house yesterday. Remember the appointment was set for him to show up sometime between 2 and 4? Yes, he came at 4:30.

I know what you mean about check writers. They always seem to have a million coupons too. Aggravating!

I like your blog. Found you on Mom Bloggers Follower Group. I'm now following and looking forward to reading more.
