It's time for Randomness because it's Tuesday. Click the button below and link up with The Unmom with your own random thoughts.
Where did my Monday post go. I did it last week because I was going to be out of town, I set it up to post as I always do and it didn't post. I guess that means no household chores this week! Right. I'll give you a hint for next week, start cleaning your piles of paper up now.
I love how random our school district is! We have this whole week off from school. Yep, we have fall break a whole week of it. We also get one week in April for spring break but I do love fall break. It is the best time to take family trips because no one else is traveling. We're hanging here this week because my daughter wanted to do a no- trip mission trip. They are doing work with different organizations right here in town. Great idea- no travel but they still get to do something for others which I believe is the secret to keeping teens thankful and grateful.
We are bracing for anywhere between 6 to 12 inches of snow here in Denver. I'm stocked up and ready to hunker down under a blanket with a cup of tea and my knitting. That and use my new snow blower!!! Most women would cry if their husband bought them a snow blower, my hubby got lucky, I love power tools and things with engines.
Why is all the Christmas stuff already out in stores? Seriously, it's been out for 2 weeks. IT"S NOT EVEN HALLOWEEN YET!! Before you know it, it really will be Christmas in July. I love Christmas but not this early.
I know I'm getting in the mood for holiday baking when I start stocking up on ingredients. Safeway has sugar on sale for $1.26 off oer 5 pound bag. I bought 7 bags (35 pounds), I also bought 6 bags of flour and 8 pounds of butter. I'll need a ton more butter but I feel better having a few pounds on hand. I am trying to pick out some new recipes to try this year for Thanksgiving and the Holidays. So many great recipes out there.
Have a great time being random.

I hate baking. Glad there are people in this world that love it!
I totally hear you about the Xmas things! What the heck is that all about??
When I finally get around to buying Christmas stuff, the stores will have moved on to Easter.
Fall break, are you kidding me?! I want one of those! We have a Christmas break, and I'm looking forward to it very much! In fact I'm counting down to Spring Break, 22 a half weeks to go!
I think we're going to have a pretty bad winter here in the South! I'm starting to stock up myself!
Already started baking some of my traditional Christmas cookies. But I think you got me beat! Happy randomness!
That's a lot of sugar, Sugar.
Ooooo - look at you! So prepared! I love to bake at Christmas but am never prepared. Am always sending hubby out at the last minute for sugar, butter, whatever....I guess I will have to take a leaf out of your book this year!! Fabulous for you to be prepared! Good for you.
I will post some pictures of my holiday goodies soon. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
