The theme for this weeks Monday Photo Shoot from Ellipsis is Trees.

I took this photo after an ice storm last spring.

Hiya Margaret :)

My goodness... shudder... you must have been freezing when you took this shot. It is very beautiful. We rarely get weather like that here in Berkeley, although last year we did have a dusting of snow, and it made everything just glow. I am so pleased you joined us this week, yours is the first winter tree submitted!

Brrr...it must be cold but so beautiful! Very nice...something I don't see around here except in the mountains.

Not only do I love the ice in the trees, I really love the fact that you have included the warm tones of the ground which help to give the entire photograph a great balance.

Neat! I really like the looks of trees when they are encased in ice!

Wow, that's quite the icy tree -- it makes me cold just to look at it. Very nice job of taking the photo! And the tree is lovely!

The evergreen tree in the backgound seems to protect the deciduous tree that is sleeping from the cold winds, as the earth also holds warmth for a dormant life portrayed by the colours in the forground.
This is a wonderful photograph that will stay in my mind for a long time.
